I was lucky to have found Esther Griffith, such an incredible wealth of talent. I am always checking out her sites for new work to see what she’s up to. Her color palette is incredible- so layered, wonderfully playful yet you know she’s in control/ quite sophisticated. She is inspiring and I’ll let her work speak for itself. Check out her interview here and don’t hesitate to pass the word! see more of her work on facebook & etsy

Hi Dave, best tip I can give is to not worry about creating a “signature style”- I actually learned the most by making as much work as I could in whatever style appealed to me at the moment. If you keep working this way, eventually you’ll come to a point where you’ve learned enough that you can start paring down the barest essentials. That’s when you’ve got your signature style.
Oh, and learn to take good photographs :)
